Our troop has over 40 scouts and is supported by a rich tradition of adult and parental involvement.
At the same time, we are one of the most boy-lead troops you will find, with lots of leadership opportunities for our scouts.

Troop 970 received recognition for its excellence in 2011. The BSA Journey to Excellence program recognizes success at all levels of Scouting. Recognition is given for Gold, Silver, and Bronze performance. Troop 970 received Gold Level recognition for its 2011 program. Congratulations to all involved and thank you for your efforts
The Troop has a history of excellence. It is great to be recognized. All members of the Troop are authorized to purchase the patch below and wear it on their uniform.
Troop 970 has an Arrow of Light Ceremony team available for Cub Scout Packs’ ceremonies.
Our team dresses in Indian attire with a chief, medicine man, drummer, archer, and guard.
If your pack has a scout joining Troop 970, your pack will receive priority in our scheduling.
